In this role you will
Ensure the container orchestration platform (Docker / Kubernetes) based on open source technologies is regularly maintained and released to production without any downtime
Increase the effectiveness, reliability and performance of container orchestration platform (Kubernetes / EKS) by identifying and measuring key indicators, making changes to the production systems in an automated way and evaluating the results
Ensure that the container orchestration platform (Prometheus / Grafana) is maintained properly by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, performance and system health.
Assist development teams to migrate applications to Docker / Kubernetes based PaaS platform
Design and implement required failover mechanisms within the Kubernetes ecosystems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Docker and Kubernetes environment
Develop and maintain automated processes, tools, and documentation in support of Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration platform
To succeed you need
To have knowledge of Linux internals, networking and IT security best practice.
To be well versed in maintaining and automating a platform.
To apply cloud (AWS) computing skills to deploy upgrades and fixes.
Good hands-on knowledge of Configuration Management and Deployment tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform etc.
To be proficient in at least one scripting language next to Shell and Git workflows.
To be familiar with setting up and maintaining a CI / CD toolchain. Furthermore having basic knowledge as a developer is definitely a help.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
To like to work with an agile team and SCRUM or Kanban are known to you.
