Overview of Role :
The Engineering Supervisor will drive continuous improvements to our existing production processes to optimize company profitability, reduce lead times and achieve quality standards.
He / She will lead projects for the planning of facility expansions and upgrades in line with the company’s growth strategies.
Be actively involved in the development and implementation of new technologies.
What you will do :
Lead programmes of continues improvement.
The supervision of an in-house maintenance team and all outside contractors.
Responsible for the upkeep of the facility and the supervision of all upgrades or redesign.
Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operated to Standard operating procedures.
Ensure maintenance personnel are properly equipped and trained to carry out their assigned tasks.
Supervise maintenance personnel and assign duties as per production requirements / schedule.
Organize cover for shift rotation and weekend duties.
To ensure that all maintenance records and procedures are maintained and updated regularly.
Achieve performance metrics in relation to safety, maintenance, quality, and cycle time.
Provide leadership, direction and coaching to the maintenance team.
To communicate internally and externally on issues to ensure their timely resolution.
What we need from you :
Mechanical Engineering background with 5 years relevant experience.
Knowledge of current printing technologies and applications would be an advantage.
Excellent computer skills.
Experience of PLC programming / cad design would be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will be a team player capable of both working in a team environment and on their own initiative. The position requires good leadership and communication skills with an ability to interact with many different people throughout the organization.
A positive proactive approach and the ability to plan ahead are essential.
