A Day in the Life

Join the Medtronic Western Europe Audiovisual Team and participate in the exciting development of live streaming events for the leader of medical devices.

We are looking for a qualified Audiovisual Specialist who will be based in Prague.

Your main occupation will be to manage from beginning to end on-site live streaming events across Western Europe. You will have to technically prepare the event (prepare the material but also the technical needs in the future location), set up the equipment on site (PTZ cameras with remote controls, microphones, video and audio mixer and the streaming station), ensure that the streaming feed is received perfectly by the viewers and finally edit the recorded material.

When backup is needed, you will get the help of the rest of the Audiovisual Team. The experience for the viewer should look both professional and engaging.

In between streaming, you may also work on more classic filming or editing.

For this position, we expect you to be a tech-savvy professional with an in-depth understanding of how technology can help us achieve our educational and marketing goals.

You should be methodical and have excellent time management skills. As an Audiovisual Specialist, you should also use your communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.

You will be working alongside a team of talented graphic designers, IT specialists and project managers.

MAIN JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in pre meetings with different stakeholders in order to list and organize the equipment needed to achieve the customer’s goal.
  • Get in touch with the local IT and administrative teams to prepare the event.
  • Be able to adapt the equipment package to the project and locations needs.
  • Present the event setup and agenda to the different stakeholders.
  • Organize rehearsals if needed.
  • Be Responsible of the functioning of the whole engaged equipment.
  • Setup of the equipment on location.
  • Management of the live streaming (camera + audio + streaming) and recording
  • Editing of the recorded session (adding intro and outro logos, sound mixing, color grading, export ).
  • Sharing the final video to the marketing / education team.
  • In charge of the soft maintenance of the equipment (firmware updates, lenses and fan cleaning )
  • Identify audiovisual / IT problems and advise solutions in collaboration with Medtronic teams.
  • Be ultimately accountable for the full lifecycle of the event.

  • Wireless microphones.
  • PTZ cameras.
  • Broadcast and IT connection norms and rules : HDMI, HDSDI, XLR, Ethernet, HD, 4K
  • Knowledge of video mixing platforms (Vmix, BlackMagic ATEM)
  • Knowledge of streaming dedicated platforms (Zoom, Teams) and broadcasting on social networks (LinkedIn) using OBS.
  • Demonstrated skill with video editing software platforms ( FCPX, DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere).
  • Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in video production
  • 3 years of video production experience
  • Fluency in English C1
  • Knowledge of shooting using PTZ + ENG cameras, live audio recording, live streaming and editing videos
  • Readiness to travel across Europe and sometimes work during evenings and weekends
  • Ability to carry and operate the equipment
