PURPOSE

Looking after SITA as an organisation requires great insight in our own employee population. We need to know where people are, who is coming, who is going, what our employees are telling us and what the market place expects of us.

To achieve this, we have to make sense of all the data that we have. We need to give it meaning and in turn, it needs to answer complex questions.

This is where you come in. We are looking for a data curious and analytical senior consultant to join the existing team.

You will help develop and improve existing reports. You might even automate them if you have a programming back ground.

You will find themes, trends and patterns. You’ll need to be able to present what you’ve found to an audience that might not be so analytical in their thinking, but who will make decisions based on what the data is telling them.

Above all, you will have a passion for accurate data, its interpretation and presentation.

  • Talent data
  • Workforce structures which facilitate the strategic workforce planning processes
  • HR, Finance and other third party data, providing analytical insights that enable a better interpretation of people related data and its impact on the business.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the HR GEO Leads, HR Business Partners, Centre of Expertise and other functions in the production and delivery of data integration, business, strategic and executive level reporting & analysis, across all our HR systems and other inhouse systems using HR data.
  • Manage and produce detailed functional requirements to IS in development of reports, data conversions, interfaces and extensions for HR Systems.
  • Manage the design and implementation of regular and ad hoc reports on specific HR metrics, including operational, reporting, Scorecards, Dashboards and key performance indicators related to workforce data
  • Identify issues when it comes to data accuracy and help by working closely with colleagues and functional power users to fix these issues.
  • Present relevant trends in clear, succinct reports to key stakeholders and demonstrate the implications of these trends on the business.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations using data, graphics and storytelling to explain data and data trends to subject matter experts and business leaders to facilitate decision making.
  • Investigate possible methods of improving and / or increasing the automation of the reporting and analytics process in partnership with the HR Systems team.
  • EXPERIENCE

    In order to be successful in this role, we think you’re going to have a varied background doing this sort of work already.

  • Since you are handling people data, we believe you will need;
  • Previous experience of working with people data in a core HR system. (We use Oracle Fusion and Oracle Taleo)
  • Experience in developing reports and / or queries within an HR System, including database query language such as SQL, OBIA
  • Experience in translating people data insights in the broader business context; strong data visualization an communication
  • KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • You probably already spend hours each day in Excel; but we’ll need you to have expert level proficiency (e.g. advanced formula and function construction, pivot tables, charts, consolidating and analysing data)
  • Ability to critically analyse data for trends, gaps, patterns
  • Excellent statistics and analytical skills with strong attention to detail, proactive and results driven. You’re probably the kind of person that gets frustrated when you cannot reconcile something 100%
  • Data wrangling capability, to put forward accurate and actionable data for further analysis
  • Service driven with strong customer orientation
  • Ability to multitask, to stand up to pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree or equivalent.
