Novartis is looking for a lead integration engineer to ensure we build best in class integration services. Leading a teams of integration engineers and developers, you will be responsible for the delivery of high quality integration services.
As a key member of the development team, you will be working closely with business and IT colleagues to empower your high performing integration team.
You will need to have a strong background in the design, build, develop and maintain scalable and flexible APIs and Microservices.
It’s a broad role, where you will be expected to support, motivate and manage your integration engineering team. You should comfortable with componentization and reusability.
The ability to deliver quality code at scale by applying development patterns and practices is a key aspect of the role.
The pharma industry is heavily regulated and the platforms and products which deliver our solutions need to comply with both regulation and industry practices.

Your Responsibilities :
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to :
Delivery of high quality integration services and participation in architecture and design to enable delivery of highly scalable, secure and performant systems
Participate in architecture and design to enable delivery of highly scalable, secure and performant systems and ensure that all the deliverables are front end-agnostic
Embracing the concept of lifelong learning by being a person with ability to undertake self-led research and upskilling to ensure you are always aware of digital trends
Looking beyond the immediate request to see the scope in an idea to add value at an Enterprise level
Provide expertise in developing elegant, scalable, efficient application logic and data manipulation and deliver quality code by applying development patterns and practices, leveraging TDD methodology and supporting test automation.
What you’ll bring to the role :
Proficiency with the following development stack : C#, WebAPI, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Entity Framework, RDBMS and NoSQL (document based)
Excellent understanding and vast hands-on experience with distributed platforms
In-depth knowledge of Microservices patterns such as ACL, Sidecar, API Gateway, BFF, among others
Hands-on experience with automated unit testing, test driven development and CI / CD pipelines
Must have a real experience defining API strategies including documentation (Swagger / Open API), production and consumption, versioning and throttling Blue / Green and Canary deployments Git and branching models Agile experience following SCRUM
