Role PurposeThe Supply Chain Analyst / Planner / Buyer ensures the right level of inventory for a dedicated business unit / product portfolio in the EMEA region to meet the needs of the company and our customers.

The Supply Chain Analyst works with global or regional functions such as Demand and Supply Planners, Logistics, Customer services or Quality.

We are offering a limited contract for 1 year (with a high probability of extension).Please apply in English!Key ResponsibilitiesInventory and supply control (40 %)Continuously monitor inventory levels and coverage projection to achieve target levels and avoid or minimize shortages.

Monitor outbound orders and reconcile them against Forecast (sales, consignment orders and inventory replenishment)Liaise with Global planning and / or Manufacturing on projected shortagesTrack inbound deliveries with carriers and warehouse incl.

prioritizationProvides regular communication on potential inventory coverage and backorders (root cause & recovery)Execute inventory allocation for constraint products based on given prioritiesMonitor allocation of inventory to outbound orders and initiate corrective actions to ensure delivery on timePerform Excess & Obsolete inventory analysis and reclassification of inventory on regular basisIdentify & support action plans to minimize E&OMonitor inventory disposition, execute discards and returns to vendorsReview and approve cycle count request for inventory adjustment (within agreed limit)Consignment inventory control (40 %)Continuously monitor consignment inventory levels, turns and expirations in the fieldProvide regular reporting of field inventory focused on but not limited to Inventory levels, turns, inventory at risk of expiry, inventory close to expirationLiaise with Sales and Customer service on timely returns of expiring inventory, document, and report on potential deviationsEnsure existing policies and processes for consignment / field inventory management are followed and adhered to by business.

Other Duties (20 %)Drive and / or support continuous improvement projects in area of supply chain planning and executionAct as a back-up in case of absence of team membersAd-hoc tasksEducation, Experience, SkillsBachelor's Degree or equivalent 3 years of previous related experience (Supply Chain / Logistics)Experience working in a medical device and / or regulated industry preferred Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (JDE, SAP etc.

Knowledge and experience of Supply Chain planning preferably within an APS environment (JDA, APO etc.)Relevant experience in field inventory management is preferredFluent in English written & oralExcellent communication skillsStrong analytical skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines, result-oriented and accurate personCapability to work independently and in a geographically dispersed teamCritical Thinking using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problemsAdaptability ability to react to change in an efficient mannerPrioritization ability to establish a hierarchy of importance to number of tasks or needs and to organize work accordinglyWhat is it like to work at Edwards Lifesciences in the Czech Republic?
