We’re looking for a talented Tech Lead to join our GPS Focus Area (Financial Systems team) to work in Brazil!

The Financial Systems team is responsible for the platform that processes all sales, subscription renewals and revenue streams to create records of customer's receivables that will be later collected.

The team also handles dunning processes whenever a debt remains unpaid after its due date.

Services owned by this team handles global integrations with tax calculation engines which deal with each market's complexities, these integrations are used to both calculate the tax amount charged for each invoice created and also to file tax documents to local authorities.

Around this entire process the team is responsible for the services processing events from different sources, aggregating and transforming them into meaningful accounting entries filed to Gympass' ERP systems.

The perfect fit is a strong software engineer, used to work with and a solid history of quality projects delivered in collaboration with their teams, while keeping hands-on technical (dev+ops) work and to be the leading force for a team of 7 mid-level and senior software engineers working from Brazil and Portugal.

Having worked with Billing or financial systems integrations and / or back office operations is a plus.


  • You will research, architect, plan and execute strategic projects along with an A-Players software engineering team;
  • Your deliverables influence B2B and B2C checkout conversion around the globe, by both creating new payment mechanisms and improving / maintaining existing ones;
  • Working on loosely defined project scopes, You will ellaborate strategies to deliver solutions balancing feature and time to market, pairing with Product Managers, Product Designers and a cross-functional team;
  • You will have the opportunity to evolve leadership skills, nurturing and coaching less senior engineers to speed up their learning curve and reach their full potential;
  • You will also have opportunities to develop engineering skills by solving scalability problems, designing system architecture, ensuring high code quality, among others.

  • Focus on making things right and better at every opportunity;
  • Solid experience with RESTful APIs written in Java / Kotlin + Spring, Go lang;
  • Solid Software Architecture knowledge Event driven architectures, Serverless;
  • Solid Software quality and test automation mindset;
  • Cloud computing (AWS) and Cloud Native (K8s) experience;
  • Used to work in technically leading a software engineering team;
  • Used to work with SQL technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL;
  • Used to work with microservices and high volume distributed systems;
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
