Montrose Software has an ongoing relationship with one of the largest North American banks to enhance and maintain its production libraries and applications.
The bank serves 17 million clients worldwide and provides personal and commercial banking, wealth management, insurance, investor services, and capital markets products and services globally.
We work mainly with their capital markets teams, focusing on derivatives and fixed income systems.
Your responsibilities
This position is for a project to modernize the client’s trading books system as part of Basel IV’s Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB).
The work requires the ability to collaborate closely with the bank’s Quant team. As a Python Developer your role will be to understand, implement and optimize the Quant team’s analytics.
The programmer should be comfortable with mathematics and mathematical computation.
Our requirements
Good knowledge of Python programming language,
Fluent in spoken and written English,
Demonstrated ability to deliver timely, working solutions,
Unit testing skills,
Ability to use version control system, ideally Git,
Debugging skills,
Strong software engineering or math background.
Optional
C++ knowledge,
Familiar with RESTful applications,
Familiarity with containerization and Kubernetes,
Fintech experience.
