Objective of the Role : Responsible for the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) activities
related to New Electric Product development and launch in production. Partner all Integrated
Supply Chain Functions to drive product and process manufacturing strategies, DFM and Cost to
grow the business.
AME Reference for New Electric Product & Manufacturing Process Development focusing
on Stator for Electric motors
Estimate internal Manufacturing Conversion Cost on New Electric product designs
working in close cooperation with AME Centers of Excellence
Evaluate Product Manufacturability and proactively suggest Design Changes to reduce
Product Cost and improve Quality, driving DFM, PFMEA and MRL to target in the High
Speed Electric Machinery manufacturing process domain
Track Lesson Learned from First Proto Build driving design changes where necessary
Define Core / Non-core Manufacturing Strategy for New Product Designs, Leading Make
Versus Buy Process working close with SBM / Eng. Procurement and Should Cost team
Actively supports AME COEs and drive generation & protection of IP for key internal New
manufacturing processes in the High Speed Electric Machinery manufacturing process
engineering domain (e.g. develop IP, patented design features, trade secrets with
equipment and tooling suppliers, etc.)
Supports AME Leaders on Strategic planning and AOP activities for the Electrification LOB
Define with COE team the standard equipment and process for Stator Windings and
Stator assembly for Electric engine
Support definition of specification book for new equipment with COE team
Develop with COE team and suppliers the new technology introduction
Define the specification and parameters for all new equipment and process and support
the definition of PI related to new processes
Support the AME and plant for new equipment and process installation
Define the capex requirement for all the new technology and new equipment
Support the management and MRO to define the strategy versus all the suppliers
Seeks out information and techniques from outside his own team (literature, industry,
universities, internet)
Excellent communications within multi-cultural team
Good level of spoken and written English, with fluency in another European language
French, Italian, German) a distinct advantage
