Responsible for providing financial planning, analysis and reporting for Corporate, a business, or a P&L within a business.
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the business cycle- 3 year plan, budget, forecasts at each level of the organization. Define KPIs to measure the performance in all areas of the organization- mfg.
R&D, eng, supply, commissioning. Analyze the performance and propose action plans to improve profitability and cash generation as well as corrective action plans as needed.
Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy / strategy.
A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor, with proven interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
Impacts projects, processes and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy, but is focused on execution of activities / provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.
Activities require professional judgment, but may require more senior levels of guidance.
Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Basic Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Solid PC skills : experience with financial systems / applications (i.e. : Oracle, Hyperion), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.
e. pivot tables, Vlookup and macros)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear / concise manner
Language skills : fluent in English (written & spoken)
Strong analytical skills : able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change, provides data driven insights
Confidence / Assertiveness : strong influencing skills across business functions, execute with a high sense of urgency, and ability to constructively challenge the status quo
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and drive change while working across all levels, functions, and regions
Integrity : accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others
Language skills : Czech / Slovak a strong benefit
GE FMP experience preferred
Proven Lean experience : significantly experienced in successfully implementing Lean / Lean Projects in an operational and industrial business setting
Experience working in a matrixed environment
Adaptable / Flexible : being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and / or to work in ambiguous situations
