Someone who is successful in this role will have experience writing and shipping bulletproof machine learning code in production environments, an eagerness to forge a path forward with new algorithms and approaches, a strong sense of ownership, and a persistent desire to grow and lead beyond the scope of their current role.
4+ years of experience using machine learning and data science to ship real-world data products
Strong programming skills in Python (numpy / scipy, sklearn, pandas, etc)
Interest in deep learning approaches and computation libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc
Ph.D. / M.S. degree in a quantitative discipline : computer science, statistics, operations research, applied mathematics, etc
Experience in Hadoop, Spark and associated tools to build scalable machine learning systems is plus
Proven track record of building unsupervised machine learning solutions is plus
Interest or experience in information extraction, time series analysis, forecasting, bayesian inference, causality analysis, natural language processing, recommendation systems, and search relevance
Self-motivation, a strong sense of ownership, and an enjoyment of a startup-like environment
An ability to balance a sense of urgency with shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions
Ability to work on-site at our Prague office
