All Supplier Development Engineers are responsible for :
Personal, industrial and nuclear safety as a fundamental part of their job
Executes technical witness and hold points
Identify, propose, and support implementing performance improvements
Identify, initiate, lead and implement timely issue resolution strategies for quality / technical issues in supplier products
Compliance with applicable procedures and standards and ensuring all standards and processes are adequately
described in Level 2 and 3 procedures
Conducting product qualification activities on supplier-provided components as required. This includes first of a kind development projects as well as existing designs for new suppliers.
Lead to develop new suppliers including BCC
Support implementation of Value Analysis / Value Engineering, DfA and DfM principles during the design process
Perform evaluations of Suppliers and the supply base at the request of Sourcing and Supply Development to include
sourcing requirements, manufacturing capability, capacity, and associated risks
Create Manufacturing and Process Plan estimates for use in design option selection or validation of cost and schedule
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor Degree or higher in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical / industrial engineering with progressive technical experience
Demonstrate knowledge of power plant mechanical and electrical systems
Experience on fossil or nuclear projects, including construction / commissioning / Dismantling support experience
Be familiar with Manufacturing Capability assessment concept / Supplier technical evaluation.
Fluent in English (TOEIC 850 or equivalent), professional language skills in German will be appreciated.
Willing to travel to support emergent project issues / supplier development.
