The Project Coordinator / Project Manager is responsible for coordination and timely execution of development projects related to a particular program, managing the activities of cross-
functional engineering disciplines. He also coordinates tasks within global BEA R&D projects in Brno as a local counterpart of project manager located in another site.
This position utilizes the Product Management Process (PMP) and Module Development Process (MDP) to effectively guide new and existing products and modules through development, upgrades and / or installations.
Key interactions will be required with Program Managers as well as with various groups (i.e., internal and external subsystem vendors, science, system, software, design, electronics, applications, field service, operations) across geographically dispersed locations including Europe and US based Engineering teams.

Work on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects as they transition from concept through release according to PMP, MDP process.

Makes sure that projects are done according to specifications, schedules and budgets (following the PMP process)Monitors the project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with Program Managers and Technical Leads on priority and technical matters, reports the status and progress regularlyInitiates corrective actions when parts of project are failing behind schedule, are overspending budget or don’t meet key specificationsPlans, allocates and directs resource schedules as well as project budgets as requested
TechnicalKnows design of developed products or modules, is able to evaluate the effects and risks associated with new technologies, components, scope changes.
Can organize the Technical reviews, is able to challenge, verify and communicate technical decisions.Works closely with product marketing teams to develop a robust and integrated product roadmap.
In cooperation with respective PMM(s) prepares ROI for his product(s)
General requirements :
University degree in a technical discipline, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills
Typically requires 2+ years proven experience in a leadership role is required
Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering programs / projects through a defined and rigorous product management process.
Must be able to reference prior experience in the internal product management and launch of a successful product in a relevant technical field.
Proven ability to build consensus among key stakeholders that may not be under his / her management control.
Strong communication ability is required due to the cross-functional nature of this role. An ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences is helpful in this role.
Demonstrated ability to plan and resolve issues that involve gaining cooperation of cross-functional, multi-cultural groups and sites without damaging relationships.
Ability to manage staff, to assign specific duties, and to create a constructive and cooperative working relationship.
Must have ability to obtain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as required (up to 25% of working time)
Fluent in English and local language (verbal and in writing)
Specific Requirements :
Demonstrated experience participating in technical projects.
Demonstrated experience with process improvements and methods. Experience with use of statistical process control and statistical problem solving methods, including FMEA, Six-
Sigma methods etc., is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise analysis of data and basic experimental methods, test protocols and procedures
Self-starter who is productive with minimal supervision
Ability to define and execute product and organization roadmaps.
