We are looking for a data analyst to join a growing team of Marketing professionals dedicated to our website at Avast. Avast is committed to continuous improvement of its online experience and is looking for a data expert that can dig into relevant data and pull out insights that will benefit the entire team and business units as they produce their content and engage with our customers.
In your role, you will manage the entire data pipeline for the website designing tests, developing reporting, and analysis.
Most of the heavy lifting is provided for by dedicated experts and tools (e.g. a HDFS-based data warehouse) but we will expect you to understand the full picture.
At the end of the day, you should empower the entire team to make good use of our data and help discover valuable insights.
Key accountability and ownership :
Inform and drive key strategic decisions
Provide ad-hoc reports and relevant insights to various stakeholders
Build automated reports for consumption in, amongst others, GA, MS Excel and MS PowerBI for members of the website council
Work closely with other teams across the company including Business Intelligence, Operations, Web development, and Product Marketing
Understand the business context and products
Expert knowledge on website tracking or understanding how websites are tracked
Expert knowledge on analytical reporting through Google Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, Excel or similar tools.
Ability to provide meaningful data related to various business units, for decision making affecting both websites and business.
Ability to identify and request new data sets, that could provide benefit to both websites and business.
Understanding of fundamental statistics

Good communicator with strong English skills
Experience working within a team of developers, Business Intelligence teams and sales and marketing.
A track record of delivering successful insights and reporting
Data scripting languages, such as SQL, Python etc. a plus. Not required.
