As a Power Electronics Manager you will be responsible for leading and directing a team of engineers and internal projects.
This position requires management and leadership skills capable of leading a cross functional team and collaborating with a global team.
The Team Leader will be a key member of the global Power Electronics (PE) Center of Excellence (CoE) and will report to the Director of Eaton European Innovation Center and functionally to the global manager of PE CoE.
Your key deliverables :
Supervise / manage the direct reports for the work packages and tasks assigned to them
Ensure high quality technical deliverables without a delay
Assist to resolve technical problems
Function as an advisor to the tasks and the projects assigned to the direct reports.
Lead the projects as the technical lead
Monitor performance, conduct performance evaluations including goal setting, and deal with performance issues
Career development and mentoring / coaching
Prepare monthly spending forecast and actual
Hiring and training new employees
Manage local labs (e.g. ensuring safe lab environment, purchasing lab materials, etc.)
Participate in the various technical and operation meetings
Execute the standard procedures and approve the requests like vacation, travels, or purchases.
Communicate with the team for the announcements or the new strategy / direction
Create technical reports and presentations
Report the overall performance of a team and projects to the direct and functional managers
Bachelor s degree in Electrical engineering or Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of industry experience in electronics new product development
Minimum 3 years of experience managing cross functional teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Strong technical project management competencies and problem-solving skills
Customer focused with good relationship building and communication skills
Ability to learn new skills, knowledge, industry, or products
Fluent in oral and written English
Broad knowledge in power electronics designs including topology, analog / digital circuit, and thermal management
Experience working in diverse cultural situations with global customers and team members
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering processes
Design for Six Sigma certification
