The purpose of the Medical Advisor role is to provide continuous high level medical / scientific support to global development operations and to effectively support the integrated medical marketing at the country level.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to :
Providing medical expertise related to registered Novartis products according to the requirements of competent HA
Ensuring medical training of Novartis sales / marketing staff
Cooperating with the Market Access associates to achieve desired level of reimbursement of Novartis products
Acting as a sponsor of scientific medical knowledge in Novartis, keeping pace with the development of medicine and medical science
Providing competent medical support for the company’s premarketing / marketing activities
Advising the PMs / Franchise heads on the most suitable approach for promoting the company’s products from the medical / regulatory point of view
Supervising promotional materials preparation and checking their correctness and compliance with national and company’s requirements / regulations from medical point of view
Keeping good professional contacts with key external experts / stakeholders in medicine
Supports DRA in order to meet regulatory requirements
Supports DS&E operations in order to meet regulatory requirements
Performs special assignments as discussed with Medical Director
On time reporting of spontaneous adverse events (AE) reports and technical complaints for all Novartis products
What you’ll bring to the role :
MD, PharmD, pharmacist, PHD and other life sciences with solid medical / technical background and proven competencies influencing skills, clinical research
Speaks and writes English fluently
Speaks local language
Proven ability to develop and foster peer-to-peer, credible relationships with Medical Experts / decision makers
Working knowledge of the Healthcare System and of the research procedures as well as the ICH guidelines, GCP and other ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry
Thorough knowledge of clinical medicine, disease management, and medical research in at least one therapeutic area
Ability to understand and convey emergent scientific information
Proven ability to use IT tools and interface effectively with a variety of technical platforms
Strong personal integrity, and customer focus
Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation and advanced presentation skills
Able to effectively contribute and work on multifunctional teams
Must be able to adapt, organize
