Job Purpose :
The OTI EMEA Regional IDoc Monitoring Specialist is part of the IRIS Center of Excellence organization. Supporting the IRIS Solution in EMEA, across 18 legal entities, 22 countries and in excess of 1.6 billion sales coverage.
The purpose of the role is to support all Alcon EMEA OTI affiliates in establishing a solid and reliable EDI foundation, streamlining business processes and maintaining excellent customer (internal and external) relationships, assuring the highest customer satisfaction.
Facilitate the smooth data interchange between systems, monitoring the interchange of data enabling detection and correction of system errors and improving data quality, fostering opportunities for process improvements.
You will need to support affiliates in any business related projects and demonstrate you expert knowledge of the OTI functional area and processes.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitor system interface messages (IDocs) for OTI detecting any errors. Root cause analyses, risk assessment of the issue and urgency of corrective actions that maximize integrity of business data.
When necessary, perform corrective actions that require system access or technical knowledge not available to business users in the Affiliate
When necessary, submit support tickets (Incidents) to appropriate service systems for errors or issues that cannot be corrected independently.
Periodically reconcile transaction data in systems to confirm completeness of system interface operations. Ensure all orders are processed without error in line with month / quarter close activities
Define business processes for managing and resolving IDoc errors across multiple entities providing timely resolutions and minimizing impact on productivity focusing but not limited to OTI business processes
To consistently provide high levels of service as measured by agreed performance metrics. This includes reports on transactions and interface messages by type / status / error code
Define and monitor key data quality indicators to measure system health, reduce error rates, and identify improvement opportunities.
Run internal system reporting (IRIS ERP system) and extract reporting for applicable Novartis Financial Controls (NFCM)
Implement effective Problem Management process within OTI to reduce / prevent recurring errors and issues. This includes tasks / projects oriented to reduce errors and / or improve data quality
Specialist point of contact for EMEA affiliates, support business in execution of corrective actions. Ensure OTI IDocs are processed liaising with local affiliates to ensure Customer orders are processed timely.

The ideal candidate will have :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Technical (systems / computer) degree
Fluency in English (verbal and written)
Any other European language would be an asset
3-4 years of practical experience in OTI / Customer Service area, strong customer focus.
Experience working in a complex business environment / matrix organizations
Technical (systems / computer) degree that includes business focus or Business degree that includes systems focus.
