About the role : Infrastructure Delivery specialist is an essential and key role in Build to Run process within DHL. You will support and participate in Infrastructure Delivery Management activities to ensure infrastructure delivery and release to production of new / enhanced services / components in timely manner following ITS standards, processes and procedures.

This role has ultimate responsibility of deliverables towards to customers and other support teams involved in Build and Run phases for small and middle scope projects with low complexity. What you will do :

  • Coordinate infrastructure delivery for small and middle size projects with low complexity
  • Act as project manager for Hosting service projects, plan and schedule related Infrastructure Delivery Management activities.
  • Manage internal projects focused on hardware infrastructure improvements with related activities such as project planning, resource planning and reporting
  • Coordinate change requests to production environment with responsibility for quality of documents and minimal adverse effect to business, coordination within Production Services
  • Single point of contact for multiple specific projects on behalf of Production Services
  • Obtain sign off of Operations Acceptance Testing (OAT) for managed projects to ensure environment released to production has been delivered according to ITS standards and is fully supportable by Production services Operations departments
  • Manage release of HW infrastructure related changes into production
  • Gather, asses, and communicate critical information on a timely basis by interacting with a broad set of teams
  • Obtain timely information from a variety of stakeholders
  • Document best practices and adhere to formal standards and processes as laid down
  • Provide consultancy on infrastructure standards, delivery lead times, processes and procedures You should have :
  • Fundamental knowledge of IT infrastructure used by an Operations Centre such as operating systems, databases, storage, monitoring tools, backup, middleware and trends in the IT field
  • Strong analytical thinking and very good communication skills
  • Good time-management, organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task to achieve goals and deadlines
  • English written and spoken
  • Advanced in office applications Nice to have
  • Experience with environment using ITIL best practices
  • Experience with change management and release to production processes
  • Experience in a large computing environment We offer :
