Job Overview

For one of TE-Connectivity Automotive EMEA plants based in Kuřim (Czech Republic) we are looking for a Site Quality Manager (f / m).

Leading a team of 11 people (direct reports) and reporting to the Senior Quality Manager, the site Quality manager (QM) is responsible for ensuring that processes are in place in the organization to avoid non-

conformities to affect the customers and for ensuring we are preventing their occurrence within the organization.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

His / her responsibilities will be

  • Apply, maintain and improve a Quality Management System in line with the IATF requirements and cooperate on the implementation of customer requirements
  • Strive for continuous improvement of processes for a better customer satisfaction based on customer scorecards and TE KPI’s
  • Ensure with Advanced Quality Engineering a safe ramp up of new products
  • Facilitate deployment of Quality objectives and strategies within the manufacturing location including long term vision and contribution to the related functions
  • Manage Quality Assurance Department
  • Provide extraordinary customer service and communication (e.g. content of 8d report, responsiveness, ...)
  • Manage root cause investigations for quality issues by using state-of-art quality tools and methods (e.g. Ishikawa, 5w, FMEA, .
  • including the systematic approach
  • Schedule and execute internal and customer audit activities and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Evaluate the Q Reports, Action Plan’s from different interfaces and execute with the related interfaces for improvements
  • Support and execute new product Ramp up on highest quality level to increase customer satisfaction and eliminate obstacles
  • Interact between the Operations, Plant Manager and the related functions as mediator and keeping initiatives driving
  • Requirements :

  • University degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar
  • Experience : min 5 years’ experience in a quality management function
  • Experience in Customer Quality relations in an automotive environment is a must, preferably in an international environment
  • Knowledge of general quality tools such as 8D, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC is required in IATF 16949 environment
  • Experience in Lean management and six sigma tools
  • Excellent problem-solving expertise is required for this role
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with different levels of the organization
  • Fluent Czech and English (oral and written)
