We are currently looking for an HR Specialist to join our HR team in MSD Czech Republic Position Overview

  • As a core member of the MSD CZ country HR team, contribute to the achievement of the HR plan and priorities across divisions and demonstrate strong collaboration and One MSD mindset
  • Support adoption of MSD global HR Operating Model across client groups, in close collaboration with HR Operations and Centers of Excellence
  • Provide central point of contact and support on employee relations / labour law related matters
  • Act as Employee Communications lead at the country level
  • Act as HR representative in the EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) committee
  • Lead and support special HR projects at the country level, and support implementation and adoption of key HR processes, programs and policies
  • Act as the custodian of HR data and compliance steward for matters related to human capital / legal framework
  • May be responsible for proving strategic HR business partner support to a small client organization Key Responsibilities
  • HR Operating Model and Strategy Implementation
  • o Support adoption of the global HR Operating Model and realization of the Czech Republic HR priorities

    o Partner with business clients and other relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance to MSD HR global and local policies, and local employment laws

    o Closely collaborate with HR colleagues across the country / region / globe (including CoEs) to ensure alignment of local practices and programs with the collective HR strategy and goals

  • Employee Relations and Communication
  • o Support people managers in dealing with employee performance and disciplinary issues, and mutual terminations, ensuring compliance with local laws and MSD internal guidelines (engage HR Business Partners when necessary).

    o Manage Data mailbox for HR topics for all divisions

    o Act as country point person for conducting exit interviews and analyzing exit feedback

    o As country point person for Employee Communications, collaborate with country HR team on employee communication needs and responsible for drafting, translating and releasing all employee communications from MSD CZ HR mailbox.

  • EHS and Vendor Management o Act as HR representative in the EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) committee
  • o Provide support / consultation on regular EHS matters including work accidents and infectious diseases management

    o Act as country point person for vendor relationship management (e.g. vendors for medical checks, EHS, payroll, contingent labour) and collaborate with on-

    site HR Operations team and HRBPs to ensure effective support by vendors

    o Act as country HR liaison for Facilities and Fleet related matters

  • HR Operations and Project Management
  • o Partner with HR Operations team and HRBPs for local pull-through / implementation of global / regional HR portfolio projects and cyclical processes

    o Ensure local HR policies and processes are up-to-date, compliant with local labour laws as well as global MSD guidelines, and communicated effectively

    o Ensure HR data is accurate and protected in line with internal MSD policies as well as local legal and data privacy requirements

    o Collaborate (as country HR escalation point) with HR Service Delivery to ensure employee life-cycle changes are updated in HtR, payroll and other downstream systems in a timely and accurate manner

    o Lead / support special HR projects at country or regional level

  • HR Business Partnering (if assigned)
  • o For identified group of business client, provide consultation on effective execution of global and local HR processes, such as-

    Performance Management, Compensation Planning, Talent Management

    o Provide consultation to business clients on Compensation and Benefits matters (in consultation with HRBPs and CoEs as necessary)o Support assimilation of new employees and people managers in the organization, including facilitation of new hire orientation

    o Support / facilitate employee engagement initiatives in partnership with line leadership and other key stakeholders
