The Continuous Improvement Manager will facilitate and guide the application of Lean and other quality methods with impeccable quality levels in an organization with explosive growth.

This leader must influence, motivate and lead others to meet the challenges in a highly customer-centric operational environment.

This leader is also responsible for teaching managers and associates in Continuous Improvement process thinking and application of Lean tools.

This role reports to the Regional Employee Resource Center Service Leader and will work closely with the HR Services team to build and enhance continuous improvement within Amazon’s Employee Services.

ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence System) is Amazon’s innovative program for driving process and customer experience improvement.

ACES brings together the tools of Lean, Six Sigma, technology, and Amazon’s customer-obsessed culture, to drive continuous customer experience improvement.

The successful candidate for this role will be a fast, clear and independent thinker who is naturally curious about how things work, is metrics and number savvy, has an analytical mindset and has demonstrated leadership ability.

paced, customer-centric and ever changing HR Services environment.

Job Responsibility :

  • Lead Operation Excellence activities including Process Design reviews, Kaizen Events, and Lean Initiatives such as Flow & Visual Management activities
  • Lead complex analysis and deep dives to understand variances to planned performance or to improve efficiency and quality of the ERC Team
  • Performs quantitative analysis of key process indicators to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Write systems queries to gather data and perform data-mining and analysis using tools including MS Excel, MS Access and SQL
  • Drive Standardization (Provide mechanisms to drive Process, System Settings, Equipment, Layout Standards)
  • Define and implement HR Services SOPS. -Ensure new and / or revised SOPs are understood, trained, and implemented
  • Develop and manage periodic internal process audits for HR Services
  • 5S workplace organization (location of tools and equipment based on frequency of use etc.)
  • Promote Kaizen Culture introducing bottom up activities such as standard work to enable daily Kaizens
  • Method and Skills Trainings (Lean / Six Sigma Training, 6 Step kaizen, Trainings etc.)
  • Lead and support Lean / Six Sigma Projects
  • Audit completed projects to verify sustained impact and partners with Financial Controller to validate impact

  • Fluent English and other EU language
  • Min 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
  • Experience using Voice of the Customer analysis to drive improvements through the application of Lean and / or Six Sigma tools and concepts
  • Mastery of SQL, SharePoint, Excel, Power Point, Word and Statistical package (e.g. JMP or Minitab)
  • Strong analytical background - 7 Quality tools, SPC, Hypothesis Testing, Regression Analysis
  • Strong communication verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter capable to taking initiative and working with minimal direction.
  • Strong mix of intellect and common sense
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
  • Prior experience working in complex HR Services organization
  • Ability to handle projects using the Project Management principles and methodology
  • Third Language proficiency is an added advantage
