The Finance Master Data process expert provides quality services to Novartis Group entities and is responsible for running processes linked to master data used in Novartis, on behalf of NBS customers.
He / She is aligned to specific data objects within the Finance and HR processes for all countries within Novartis scope.
He / She plays a crucial role in a global matrix organization by ensuring data is right at the point of entry as well as in identifying and addressing data quality issues and gaps in order to drive continuous improvement.
This role supports the Finance and HR end-to-end processes OneFTE managed within Novartis Global Service Center (NGSC), ensuring its quality and effectiveness.
Your Responsibilities :
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to :
Execute all processes linked to applications managed by the Global Master data team
Support operations and ad-hoc requests for the OneFTE process / system.
Ensure all necessary data is available, accurate and compliant, meeting the data standards defined by the Global Finance Master Data Management central team
Maintain process documentation for master data objects and share processes and technical knowledge and best practices openly to other team members, locally and globally
Ensure that any guidelines, enhancements to existing procedures and escalation paths are properly followed for the execution of master data management activities
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for related data objects, their standards, policies and processes
Interact proactively with all functional areas of the NGSC to ensure appropriate master data management activities are accomplished
Work in conjunction with technical teams to resolve any technical related issue that affects master data integrity and processes

What you’ll bring to the role :
University level degree in Business Administration / Economics / Finance or IT related fields
Fluent in English both written and spoken, excellent communication skills
2-4 years of relevant experience, with good functional exposure to Finance and HR processes from a finance master data management perspective.
Master data concept knowledge and master data application set up.
Experience in BW, HANA and other SAP technologies. Understanding architecture for SAP BI, understanding of SAP ECC and interfaces to SAP BI
Reports creation in SAP BI tools Analysis and BPC
Conceptual thinking and ability to align specific functional requirements with the overall MDM strategy
Previous experience within financial shared service centers desirable
Previous experience working in projects to drive performance improvements
