Role purpose :

1 / Brand Voice Ownership

The Brand Communications is responsible for establishing a distinct and appropriate tone of voice and messaging guidelines for the company of all of our brands.

This role will guide other marketing teams in the BU to understand and implement the right tone for any given brand. This role must understand customer insights for all of our customer types and business customers to establish effective communications and represent the brand voice in a way that will build its awareness and credibility over time.

Works with the design team, internal communications, and Marketing leadership to establish the articulate the brand mission and make it real.

2 / Writing and Editing

This role will also be responsible for overseeing a large body of work and projects requested from the creative services team.

These projects include writing copy for the Avast Business team in the email, web pages, and in-product, naming projects with the BUs, Copy for internal communication campaigns, and ad-

hoc projects that need writing and editing. The role leads a team of copywriters and proofreaders that contribute for all of the projects delivered to the group.

3 / Creative Development

This role is a part of a greater marketing and brand team that is continually new assets and marketing materials to improve how we present ourselves to the world.

  • Specifically, this role will create and produce videos for the company including style strategies for a family of videos;
  • assist the Mobile team on in product mobile advertising; and take on creative projects as needed for the company.

    Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

    1 / Brand Voice Ownership

  • Update and publish brand voice guidelines for all of our brands including Avast, HMA!, AVG and Avast Business
  • Train and establish tools to help people embrace the Brand voice
  • Evangelize the company mission internally work with internal communications and plan roll out to develop a stronger understanding
  • Work with the BU to update the SMB guidelines based on the expanded audience with the new network security products who are more technical than our SOHO audience
  • Complete the work on the HMA! Brand voice and ensure training and understanding of new voice is implemented correctly
  • Develop a brand voice for AVG based on research and target customer. Publish and ensure understanding internally to all teams that have AVG products.
  • 2 / Editing and Writing

  • Managing all writing assignments in the creative services project list
  • Assist other teams as needed with writing for ad hoc projects
  • 3 / Creative Development

  • Evaluate the results of the current quick tip and product videos and publish a plan for completing the series then execute
  • Align with the Mobile, SMB, Browser and Consumer teams to evaluate brand experience in product and through the customer, journey to give recommendations on improved brand experience.
  • Contribute to the development of campaigns as needed with Internal Communications
  • Contribute to the development of campaigns as needed with the BUs
  • Must have qualifications :

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Experience working across functions
  • Deep understanding of brand principles
  • Experience with the creative development of marketing projects such as multimedia, collateral
  • Experience producing marketing materials such as videos, graphics, and collateral
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines gracefully
  • Ability to get things done and move thing forward internally and externally
  • Native level of English
