HRS Payroll Process & Supplier Manager, Novartis, Prague, Czech Republic

  • The purpose of this role is to provide support of the Payroll Transition and Implementations by managing / collaborating with the payroll operational team on the regional payroll initiatives;
  • partnering with the Regional Payroll Operations Manager, Europe, to work closely with global, regional and local stakeholders in order to support effective and efficient payroll service operations and delivery in region Europe;
  • providing advice related to payroll transition processes and vendor management.

    Your Responsibilities :

    Your responsibilities include, but not limited to :

  • Co-lead planning for regional payroll implementation and coordinating and overseeing the payroll transition of the European countries into the Global Shared Services Centre in Prague
  • Lead project progress meetings / calls with regional work stream leads and countries in scope and coordinating of activities necessary to accomplish the expected outcomes
  • Support global, regional and local stakeholders in achieving deliverables for the Payroll Implementation
  • Manage RFP process, support contract renewal process with preferred payroll vendors in Europe in collaboration with Procurement and ensure process and service standardization during payroll implementations and transitions in Europe, act as process expert in various payroll initiatives
  • Partner Regional Payroll Operations Manager, Europe and relevant global stakeholders to implement payroll strategy in Europe, ensure successful payroll delivery, process standardization and continuous improvement in the area of payroll vendors, process standardization and continuous improvement
  • Establish and implement regional payroll governance with preferred vendors, serve as an escalation point for the countries with regards to vendor’s performance;
  • deliver guidance and steer in case of improvement initiatives in area of vendor management

  • Assess opportunities and work on process and vendor’s service improvement and standardization across the countries, ensure exchange of best practices between the countries, ensure cross-
  • country standards are followed

    Minimum requirements

    What you’ll bring to the role :

  • Bachelor / Master degree in HR / other related field preferred
  • Excellent English spoken and written, second Language is a plus
  • 5-7 years of HR experience in a position of responsibility, preferably within a regional organization
  • Experience in a shared services and / or payroll organizations is a plus
  • Good understanding of HR processes, tools and systems SAP HCM knowledge a plus
