The Hospital Business Development Manager is expected to maximize sales opportunity for Biogen business in hospitals by developing and executing an effective local market access and business plan for defined products and key hospitals / accounts.
One of the main tasks in this role is identifying, building up, strengthening and ensuring a long-term customer relationship with selected existed and potential new key customers and regional stakeholders mainly on management level of hospitals.
Regular visits of key stakeholders with the goal to ensure financial budget and local / regional access of Biogen portfolio in hospitals to maximize the prescriptions and revenues in the assigned territory.
HBDM is responsible for the bundling of all employees who visit the key customers and stakeholders to ensure a consistent appearance of the company.
He / she reports to Market Access Manager and very closely cooperates with other functions (sales, marketing, medical and decision support).
The time allocation for the Hospital business Development Manager is 70% in the field and 30% office based position.
Work towards achievement of local / regional access of Biogen portfolio in hospitals, to maximize sales opportunity on hospital / account level, prioritizes activities that drive market share, applies business strategy / tactics in order to maximize sales outcomes
Develops and executes a territory plan that includes prioritized regional goals, analyzes data to identify viable opportunities, collects and reflects customer’s needs, coordinates and utilizes available resources (plans and organizes regional events, programs) understands and leverages business analytics to maximize regional opportunities
Takes lead role in mobilizing resources in support of stakeholders needs, works closely with Market Access Manager, Commercial Lead, ABMs and other colleagues in the analysis and classification of key accounts and in the identification of potential new key customers.
Organizes meetings and education meeting for key regional / local stakeholders and other decision makers, represents the company at national and international conferences
Provide information and update stakeholders on access and reimbursement programs. Ensures availability of products
Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (min 5 years), minimum of 2 years hospital sales experience.
