We are seeking energetic, forward-thinking professionals to join our Information Technology group in Prague, who will bring in knowledge of the lab environment and / or the chemical engineering domain.

As part of the Structured Experiments team, you will help develop and apply advanced capabilities in innovative information sciences applicable to some of the most advanced labs in the world.

In this role, you will be focused on the discovery side of pharma and will receive in-depth development and software technology support from within our immediate team.

You will join a team that kicks off the development of solutions internally leveraging the dynamic technical capabilities that we have in the hub (software development, machine learning, data science etc.

but also interacts with external collaborators, including but not limited to academic research groups, technology vendors, and commercial start-ups.

The role is a senior product management on steroids , requiring the ability to define and run build-measure-learn loops, while focusing on getting quick business / technology validation that later on leads to MVPs.

You will work on early-stage experimental projects through ideation, proof-of-concept, design, prototyping, and leading the creation of MVPs up to creating roadmaps to reach product-market fit.

You will work closely with business partners inside of our research and discovery organization to gain insights in to how the research side of the pharmaceutical industry works so that you can better evaluate new opportunities.

Requirements :

Education : BSc Degree (or equivalent experience) with a focus on chemical engineering or pharmaceutical development or biology with experience in the labs.

A minimum of 3 years of software product management experience or in a similar business supporting software delivery role.

Experience in creating and upholding relations with internal customers and applying knowledge to resolving business related issues.

Proof of experience with at least 3 digital technology-related products as a product manager

A track record of defining and creating experiments for business product development that are defined in a scientific manner with clear hypotheses, verifiable and quantifiable outcomes

Understanding of basic policy requirements related to IT risk, privacy and software life cycle management, and proven ability to lead a project / product through the stages so that it complies with the essence of existing policies.

Experience in creating budgetary proposals for complex projects, aligning them with business needs and getting buy-in

Proven ability to create relationships with vendors and lead vendor teams on executing projects while maintaining the relationship between the two parties

Experience with presenting product / project results to executive stakeholders and getting buy-in for new initiatives. (a min.

4 such presentations in a larger multinational org.)

Strong track record of hard skills in either software development or relevant customer facing domain (Chemical engineer or pharmaceutical development), ideally both.

Nice to have :

Previous experience with innovation or a start-up environment

Additional understanding or experience of the following will be an advantage :

Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry Project management experience

In a nutshell, we will want you to :

Lead small- to medium-sized projects spanning over a few months to a year, that follow a structured approach to experimentation, in order to validate innovative concepts and mitigate potential risks to the business

Provide clear qualitative and quantitative project results that either prove or disprove a given concept and outline potential roadmaps for the future of the concept

Identify new ideas and opportunities for applying technologies to address business needs within our company, facilitating initial ideation discussions with appropriate stakeholders.

Evaluate potential projects based on their business value and make the decision whether to move forward based on their business and technical feasibility.

Create and maintain relationships with stakeholders and business partners around the globe

Gain buy-ins for budgetary proposals that you put together, within the organization while enabling others to question your approach, based on the availability of information that you have provided.

Maintain an active internal and external network of collaborators; involving stakeholders to promote innovation initiatives and gather feedback at an early stage.

Represent our company in different technological forums that are related to your experimental work

Continuously develop and maintain rudimentary hands-on technical expertise on a wide range of technologies, technological trends, and their application inside of business.
