The Red Hat Facilities Engineering team is looking for Facilities Engineering Intern to join us in Brno, Czech Republic.
In this role, you will cooperate with the engineering team and office coordinators and managers around the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
Primary job responsibilities
Serve as a point of contact for the air conditioning (AC) and power maintenance companies at the offices in Brno
Set up dates for preventive maintenance and make sure that maintenance is conducted within prescribed time limits; supervise onsite vendor management
Archive all results of preventive maintenance into Archibus
Keep information about Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) infrastructure like energy consumption, datasheets, and warranties updated across EMEA offices
Support development and maintenance of facilities engineering and asset management register
Help integrate the office infrastructure into Archibus
Ensure utility costs are on budget; benchmark utility costs against the market
Provide support for and assist with new office and data center projects
Provide technical trainings for our colleagues
Create and maintain technical procedures for data centers and server rooms
Good technical knowledge; students with experience in mechanical or electrical engineering with the focus on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), power distribution, or power resilience are prefered
High performance in delivering excellent customer service
Solid written and verbal communication skills in Czech and English
Motivated with the ability to work with little direct supervision; ability to work as part of a team Positive attitude toward challenges and good problem-solving skills
Ability to use office applications and willingness to learn how to use new tools and resources
