I am currently partnered with a leading global pharmaceutical company, who specialise in a number of innovative, niche areas within the industry.
The primary focus of this role is within Oncology, with a number of potentially industry-defining launches in this client’s pipeline to add to their consistently expanding and evolving portfolio.
Due to their success within Oncology, they are now looking for a Business Unit Manager to oversee and lead the in-country Therapeutic Area activities to deliver the best service offering to local customers throughout the country in both Sales and Marketing.
This individual will be responsible for managing and optimising resources as well as proposing sales strategies to achieve the given revenue targets, delivering value to customers.
Being a key member of the Brand Team, this individual will be expected to drive the overall brand strategies within Oncology alongside the cross-functional Marketing team, implementing a multichannel approach.*Responsibilities*
People management role : 11 direct reports.
Assess and generate insights and opportunities from the local market, giving input to affiliate brand managers, co-developing and execute operational brand plans through localisation / adaption of EMEA-level materials and initiatives
Engage and oversee relationships with key local customers and KOLs, building appropriate business relationships to develop insights and services, acting as the Company representative nationally
Ensure local brand performance meets agreed standards and monitor in-line with brand KPIs
Achievement of sales targets and business results within specified target and product groups through leading sales team and collaboration with peers
Support development of product marketing strategies and ensure effective implementation by the sales force
Budget planning and cost management in collaboration with brand managers, under the leadership of BUD*Qualifications*
5 years Oncology experience within a commercial setting in both sales and marketing.
Be able to translate sales to marketing and vice versa to ensure cross-functional team integration
Deep understanding of data interpretation, leveraging generated insights in order to build a strategic view of the market
Comprehensively understands the impact of commercial activities in the market as well as how Regulatory and Governmental affairs can impact and shape the marketplace
Proven ability to influence, (appropriately) challenge and engage diverse senior stakeholders.
