The Automation Engineer will be responsible for enhancing current Monitoring tool portfolio through customization and automation and to engineer new solutions to address stakeholder requirements.
The position responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following :
Develop integrations between Monitoring tools and other software using API
Evaluation of routine operation tasks and automating them in controlled manner
Writing code for both applications and for automated testing of deliverables
Performing code review for other developers on team
Grooming user stories with customers and preparing technical specifications before coding begins
Contribute to and execute on defined release strategy for the platform
Responsible for documentation of all created code and deployment into production
Education Requirement : BS in Computer Science or Engineering field (or equivalent experience)
Required Experience and Skills :
Knowledge of Python, API integration, parsing different file formats (YAML, JSON, etc.)
Knowledge of relational databases
Basic knowledge of Infrastructure, Network and Cloud monitoring concepts
2+ years of experience in data engineering OR development.
AWS / Azure knowledge and experience with using native cloud services
Proactive problem solver, strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex requirements and define technical / functional advanced solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Agile development methodologies and tool sets (e.g. JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins)
Preferred Experience and Skills :
Understanding one of the following tools - SevOne, Moogsoft, Dynatrace
ITIL Foundation v3 or newer
