Monitor and control activities related to General Accounting processing system(s), to ensure all controls and compliance requirements are met
Support all or a portion of R2R activities related to intercompany accounting general ledger creation, fixed assets accounting, account reconciliations , financial statement close process, financial reporting, and controls testing
Prepare and support reconciliations between RAS / US GAAP / IFRS
Provide input through preparation of reports and recommendations to site Finance leadership
Perform period end financial close activities and meet all related deadlines
Prepare monthly journal entries, as needed
Help facilitate quarterly Balance Sheet review meetings with markets
Handle accounting policy and procedure inquiries, ad hoc reporting and analysis requests, provide periodic customer / site training
Ensure customer needs and relationships are fulfilled and enhanced through proactive involvement and interaction
Serve in a liaison role with other markets and GFS Prague
Develop and assist in automating processes utilizing innovative technical and processing solutions
Support Reconciliation Management System
Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and support control documentation requirements (SOX)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting is required
Minimum three years of experience in Accounting / Controlling / Reporting / Financial Analysis,
Working knowledge / experience of US GAAP or IFRS (US GAAP preferred)
Professional Accounting qualification (ACA / CIMA / CIPA / ACCA) is an advantage but not required
Experience with accounting processes, controls or compliance
T ECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse groups and individuals
Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
SAP ERP system experience preferred
Proficient business English language skills (written and verbal), required
Fluent business Czech is a big advantage.
Supervisory experience is an advantage
Experience of working in cross-functional team is an advantage
