As the Product Manager, you will work closely with product leadership, business stakeholders, customers and the development team to drive the development of our Human Capital Management solution with a focus on Time Tracking and Payroll.

You will be involved in all parts of the product lifecycle, from researching business problems, creating and managing backlogs, making decisions on daily development tasks as well as product release activities.

You will also be responsible for juggling between new feature enhancements and maintenance initiatives to ensure we continuously deliver value to our customers.

Responsibilities

Your work will include collaborating with product management leadership, technical teams and other stakeholders to enhance and maintain the product.

  • Deeply understand the needs of current and target customers through quantitative and qualitative customer research. Passionately represent the voice of our diverse customers to internal teams.
  • Conduct market and competitive research as needed.
  • Research and analyze regulatory changes to ensure product offering and compliance reports are up to date.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the team’s feature backlog, designs and implementation is aligned with product roadmaps and strategy.
  • Define business requirements and use cases based on customer input, research and product strategy.
  • Clearly define and prioritize high-level business requirements, as well as detailed user stories.
  • Prioritize features and investments to get the maximum customer benefit and drive continuing growth of NetSuite.
  • Work with the development team, through agile methodologies, to deliver quality software and resolve customer defects in a timely manner.
  • Ensure releases are planned, documented and provide enablement to sales, services and support on the customer value and functionality of new enhancements.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an understanding of technology, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with an understanding of business, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Analyst, or Product Owner
  • 2+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Previous experience interacting with customers, requirements gathering and analysis such as consulting, implementation or support etc.
  • HCM experience is a plus (Payroll, HR, Time & Expenses, Performance Management, Benefits etc.)
  • Detailed Description and Job Requirements

    Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution.

    Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project / product on schedule and within budget.

    As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications.

    Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral.

    Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

    Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel.

    BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
