TheVirtualization Architect will beprimarily responsible for architecture and principle engineering forHoneywell’s compute, virtualization, and monitoring environments.
This job ispart of the Enterprise Hyperconverged and Compute Architecture team andincludes architecting future state virtualization solutions includingon-premise private cloud and public cloud (Azure, AWS) solutions with a focuson automation.
This role also includes engineering activities in support of dayto day management of Server Hardware, Hypervisors (VMWare) and OperatingSystems (Linux and Windows).
This person is also responsible for makingimprovements to the existing systems to operate them in an optimized manner andor to improve the reliability and availability.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee Honeywell IT in Hardware & Hyperconverged platform optimization, monitoring and lifecycle management
Develop automation opportunities in the Hardware, Virtualization and Private / Public cloud
Drive technology roadmaps related to virtualization technologies, APIs, automation and cloud adoption
Work with Hyperconverged Infrastructure technology platforms like Nutanix, Dell VXRail, to create the strategy / direction for enterprise infrastructure
Troubleshoot performance issues related to virtualized and cloud workloads
Facilitate moving of workloads from on-prem cloud to off-prem cloud
Collaborate with multiple teams to address and troubleshoot application and or infrastructure related issues
Excellent leadership communication and executive presence
Strong influencing, program and change management skills

Creation of resulted-oriented Management Operating System

Skill in partnering with internal customers at all levels to define problems, identify solutions, and facilitate change
Skill / proven ability to analyze complex problems and break them down into logical, actionable parts.
Experience with data protection, business continuity and disaster recovery options, configuration and execution
Strong interpersonal skills - effective listening and teaming
