To achieve these goals, DXC has established a Global Solutioning Services (GSS) group that is chartered to provide bid management and solutioning support for DXC’s key accounts and new clients.

The GSS group is a global team of experienced individuals with a diverse background in IT and IT enabled Services across multiple industries, offerings and capabilities of DXC, who understands bid management as collaborative work and team play.

Role Description

As a Bid / Pursuit Manager you are responsible for the pre-qualification, planning, direction, and co-ordination of activities starting from qualification stage until contract signature both internally and with the client.

Your bid teams comprise usually a small number of technical specialists, distributed all over the globe. A Bid / Pursuit Manager also influences sales strategy and DXC’s positioning at the client.

It is the single point of contact for all pursuit related matters and responsible for managing pursuit plan and budget, for undertaking proposal management and pricing tasks.

Job responsibilities :

  • Perform end-to-end pursuit leadership / management
  • Collaboration and Managing internal stakeholders
  • Collaboration with Sales or Account teams to ensure appropriate messaging and strategy is reflected in the Pursuit
  • Manage communication and reporting
  • Gather and maintains pursuit metrics
  • Plan pursuit from qualification stage to contract signature
  • Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies
  • Ensure adherence with best practices and deal governance
  • Coordinate business and technical resources
  • Coordinate pursuit best practices events
  • Plan due diligence and contract negotiations
  • Manage the pursuit budget, internal billing, and time tracking
  • Proposal development and management
  • Target Pricing and Target Costing
  • Pricing for low-complex deals
  • Supporting pre- and post-contract lessons learned activities
  • Hand-over pursuit deliverables to the execution teams (delivery teams)
  • Knowledge and Skills :

  • Project Management respective certification (traditional and / or agile) is an advantage
  • Understanding of ITSM / ITIL processes - ITIL Certification is an advantage
  • Thorough knowledge of competitive situation in regional and global market
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Distinct customer orientation
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent team management skills and experiences managing distributed, international teams
  • Organizational skills
  • Excellent resilience
  • Good presentation skills
  • Native speaker in local language, fluent in English (at level C2 according CEFRL); other languages skills are an advantage
  • Education and Experience

  • Graduate degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or economics.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a pursuit manager / bid manager (or similar position) in IT industry with proven track record
