As a Transport Modeller in our Integrated Transport Division you'll have a range of responsibilities ranging from liaising with clients and project stakeholders to leading strategic highway modelling projects.
You'll be involved with model development, calibration, validation, demand forecasting and economic appraisal. You'll communicate with our UK-based project teams to organise, plan and deliver projects using a team of modellers.
Checking outputs for compliance with quality assurance requirements and best practice whilst motivating others to do so also is important.
We'll also require you to train and mentor junior modellers to develop a high performing team.
As a Transport Modeller in our Prague office, you will be committed to providing high quality and innovative solutions for a range of projects and clients in the UK.
In order to carry out the role effectively you will require a numerical degree at bachelors or master’s level or an equivalent qualification.
You’ll have experience with modelling software, ideally with software used in the UK including SATURN and TUBA. Experience with GIS, spreadsheets, programming (such as Python) and databases are an advantage, as is an understanding of the UK’s Transport Appraisal Guidance (TAG).
Data analysis skills alongside an understanding of variable demand modelling, forecasting and scheme appraisal are also key skillsets necessary for the role.
The ability to take ownership of tasks, to plan, communicate and delegate effectively, and to pass on your skills and support the development of the team are essential.
In turn you would benefit from our depth of expertise available to support you.
We take pride in the quality of our work and you would be expected to actively apply and promote our quality assurance requirements and best practice to help you and the team deliver high quality outputs to time and budget.
For our more senior modellers, we’d expect you to be able to demonstrate experience in leading and managing major modelling projects and in the development of robust models to support decision making as well as project delivery experience including programme, commercial and financial management.
Our more senior modellers will also advise clients within the transportation sector and you will have ideally previously been involved in business development activities and have a strong understanding of the wider transport planning / engineering environment.
We are currently looking to expand our Transport Modelling team in Prague to support UK-based projects and are looking for an experienced transport modeller to take ownership of tasks and projects and support the development of the team.
