Eaton is looking for an experienced firmware developer to work on innovative solutions for our Industrial Control and Protection Division (ICP).

The person will be located in Eaton European Innovation Center in Prague (EEIC), Czech Republic. In this role the person will be responsible for development of firmware for products used in industrial automation such as motor control applications, data collection or signalling.

Job description :

  • Firmware development (embedded C, RTOS, Zephyr, communication - MODBUS TCP / IP, Ethernet IP), using open-source tools
  • Carry out basic functional testing and bug fixing
  • Support cybersecurity implementation
  • Be actively involved in project planning, tracking and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to successfully develop and validate the design
  • Qualifications

    We would like you to bring :

  • Degree in electrical engineering or information technologies
  • Experience in embedded C and RTOS development
  • Basic knowledge of electronics
  • English at good spoken as well as written level
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering processes and project development practices
  • Experience with code management and version controller software (Atlassian tools, Github)
  • Knowledge of advanced C programming techniques, ability to quickly adopt new development environment
  • Communication-focused soft skills with capability to build relationship within the team, as well as with internal and external partners
