Oracle NetSuite is looking for an exceptional, self-directed Product Manger to coordinate and project-manage development and enhancement of several key elements of our Infrastructure product group. NetSuite is the market pioneer and leader in providing Cloud-based software applications to small, medium and large businesses. We are currently driving our own transition from dedicated, physical data centers to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, while also continuing to maintain and operate our own legacy data centers to provide our service to customers. Working with several experienced development teams, the Core Technology product manager will facilitate their work by refining and managing key requirements to deliver the capability needed to the NetSuite user and developer community, and by interacting with other development and cross-functional teams to ensure that all projects are on track and well understood by key stakeholders.As an Oracle NetSuite Product Manager, your responsibilities will also include working with the various system architects to understand future trends and their impact on our technical direction and managing the creation, maintenance and presentation of our semi-annual feature backlogs and roadmaps.To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background and experience in project management, in particular with multiple projects in parallel, combined with the ability to collaborate with strong engineering teams. You should also have a solid understanding of SaaS platform and database development technologies and markets. An ideal candidate will have experience in both Cloud-based applications and services as well as data base design and operations.The Core Technology Product Manager will interface on a regular basis with the following development teams:•Core Services•Routing•Database Engineering•Schema•Performance InvestigationsQualifications/Skills:•A minimum of 3 years of project management experience.•At least 2 years technical product management, product development, or technical professional services experience. A solid understanding of the product development lifecycle and product management processes.•Experience in Cloud applications is strongly preferred.•Experience with data base structures and operations is strongly preferred.•Familiarity with general programming languages and concepts. Experience building web-based applications is preferred. JavaScript or other scripting language experience is preferred. •Leadership ability and the personality and drive to manage diverse projects and drive to on-time completion.•Ability to make recommendations and decisions independently and make convincing arguments for the direction of the products.•Excellent communication. A track record of successfully working with a combination of local and remote development, QA, and technical writing team to deliver projects and products.•Strong organizational skills: task prioritization, effective time management, meeting facilitation, conflict resolution, and risk identification and mitigation.•Computer Science or similar degree. 

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
