You will have an important role as a Reliability validation engineer in Honeywell Industrial safety team, protecting the corporation’s reputation as a supplier of high quality products and solutions.
You will be responsible for implementing robust reliability program of all new product introduction (NPI) designs the development teams produce for general safety and high risk, which are protecting the health and lives of millions of people around the world.
You will have a major role working with quality and reliability team to develop and standardize reliability test procedures and plans that ensure product quality and reliability.
In this role, you will leverage design experience to identify risks, features critical to customer, regulatory requirements and failure mechanisms, and ensure sufficient reliability test coverage for their validation.
You will be able to introduce test standardization, automation and test reuse to support business operations.
Define, implement and drive Reliability processes during new product introduction (NPI) projects
Drive the reliability targets, develop test methods and define the test sample size for statistical relevance. Understand Honeywell targets and market needs and expectations
Define Reliability test plans and coordinate the implementation of those into the product test plans, summarize reliability results and conclusions in a test report
Ensuring completion of Reliability tests including test reports on time in accordance with project plan
Be the focal person for Reliability NPI matters
Assist with integrating know how into FMEAs during NPI phases
Design accelerated life tests (ALT) for new products
Identify when to use HALT and design HALT testing in early stages of the development
Have a customer mindset, always be a customer advocate
Basic requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering degree required, Graduate degree preferred.
Background in statistical data evaluation techniques
Written and verbal English language skills (at least B2 level)
Additional preferences :
At least 2 years work experience and strong knowledge related to the design or in product testing (validating product functionality and performance characteristics against Product Requirement Specification) is an advantage
Strong understanding of reliability testing and analysis methods
Experience using advanced quality tools
Exposure to R&D, Operations and Quality
Knowledge of standards in personal safety
Willing to travel domestic and / or international
