Alteryx Inc., headquartered in Irvine, California, USA is looking for s Senior Software Engineer for our Data Connectors organization.
Data Connectors are focused on providing a seamless and simple connection experience for the wide array of Alteryx-supported data sources (files, databases, etc.
including the cloud SaaS data sources.
The Prague Data Connectors Team will be focused on connecting Alteryx Engine (high performance C++ code) to the cloud data sources like Dropbox, SharePoint, Google Drive, OneDrive, Tableau, Azure Data Lake, and many others.
The Team will need to solve the following challenges :
cloud authentication using various technologies and scenarios (OAuth, LDAP, Kerberos, SAML)
record-level, batch and bulk data transfers
writing to shared memory in different formats (row-based, columnar)
connecting to the C++ data flow managing Alteryx Engine in highly efficient manner
The developer’s responsibilities will include :
Development of new functionality in C++ and TypeScript + React
Participating in the technical design of the solution
Working both with local and offshore development teams
Leading code reviews of code written in C++ and TypeScript + React, ensuring that the reviewed code meets internal quality standards
Required Skills :
4+ years of programming experience with C++
2+ years of programming experience with TypeScript + React
Experience with modern C++ (both language features and coding style) in a work or personal environment
Experience with RESTful API development
Must be passionate about performance and clean code
Good English both written and spoken
Willingness to work in an agile environment with a collaborative team
Willingness to learn and try innovative approaches
Willingness to learn and use other languages
Readiness to participate in testing and support testing activities, with emphasis on automated testing
Relevant Skills :
Knowledge of C++ testing frameworks (Catch, GTest, React Testing Library) and TDD
Experience of developing against Windows and Linux (CMake experience beneficial)
CI / CD experience
Experience with development collaboration tools (git, GitLab)
Experience in data transfers from / to cloud environment
Experience of working with databases (SQL, Oracle, MongoDB) and reading / writing different data file formats
Clear criminal record

Willingness to solve testing assignment (couple of hours test)
Frequent communication with US - willingness to participate on occasional meetings at late hours (due to time difference)
