Job Purpose :
To provide Project Leadership, Management and control of multiple large, strategic, and pan-European business initiatives across Tech Data.
Providing the structure and discipline on key project related methodologies, change management and process engineering / optimization.
Maintaining the Portfolio of several projects across multiple countries which are strategic or transformative for the corporation.
Might lead other Project Managers or Process Analysts.
Support and drive project delivery within the business as required. Projects will be varied and wide ranging encompassing all areas of the business.
Apply best practice methodology and standards to provide project documentation including project plans to ensure timely execution of activities and the delivery of all projects on time and to quality.
Project planning, tracking, and reporting.
Mobilize the project team and the business to ensure both are focused and supportive of delivering effective change.
Provide ongoing constructive challenge to shape and influence best project outcomes.
Promote project management by providing a consistent and professional service to the business.
Provide coaching and support to those delivering projects across the business.
Develop good working relationships with key individuals within the business and those external to the business as required.
Is pan-European in nature so therefore involves business travel across multiple European countries
Will require leading multiple projects simultaneously
Projects are usually directional / strategic in nature so require solution design & business justification
Multiple senior stakeholders will require senior stakeholder engagement & buy-in
Projects will be transformational & therefore require strong change management skills
Might have direct reports for the duration of a project or some permanent direct reports if required
Champion project management best practice within the organization & provide consultative services to other project management individuals
Provide direction to other organizational units managing their own projects
Management of a series of cross-functional teams & other project managers
Help take & facilitate decisions to ensure smooth running of projects & provide a fit for purpose solution
Provide program management to a portfolio of projects under one heading. For example, integration of multiple countries simultaneously
Develop expertise in the area of the project in order to offer advice to stakeholders quickly & efficiently
