This Engineering team develops and supports the systems that power Akamai's market leading SPS mobile security platform. We use the latest technologies to provide our customers with unique security insight and control capabilities, which we do at global scale.

You will be working with our Platform Engineering team. You will be cooperating with PM, Architecture and Operations teams to develop highly automated and scalable processes.

As a Software Engineer at Akamai you will be responsible for :

Working with Architects, Analysts and other Engineers to design new Services, APIs, Workflows & Tooling

Owning the implementation of specific backend Services and APIs

Supporting services in Production as part of a DevOps team

Collaborating with internal (and if necessary, external) teams as required.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will :

Understand all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle, and ideally have a Computer Science diploma or similar

Have demonstrable programming experience in a commercial environment in Java

Be comfortable with basic relational Database design and operations including writing SQL queries. Some experience with NoSQL DB is a plus

Have some experience with production workloads on public cloud platforms like Azure and AWS is a plus

Have some experience with containerization technologies like Docker / Kubernetes (not mandatory)

Be a team player, with solid communication skills who thrives in a collaborative environment. Most importantly be curious, willing & eager to learn
