TRADE COMPLIANCE ANALYST
Location : Prague
Contract : full-time, permanent contract
As a Trade Compliance Analyst, you will be key contact towards the business for correct setup of product classification, country of origin & valuation and support the development of import and export processes across EMEA.
The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have :
Ensure data integrity with regards to product classification, country of origin and valuation Support product classification & maintains product repository Support country of origin determination Offer guidance on customs valuation
Advise on and provides targeted support on trade compliance aspects of supply chain (including clinical trial shipments), logistics, or transport operations projects Provide input on the Customs implications of various programs and on the application of standard operating procedures Provide input and support regarding Customs implications for set-up of new transportation lanes Provide input and support regarding license applications, blocked shipments, etc.
Provide expert insights on obligations of J&J companies importing and exporting consumer, hospital and pharma products and materials
Documents best practices and enhance franchise knowledge & competency e.g., by cooperating in the preparation of trainings to J&J internal customers on trade compliance aspects
Support the design of processes to improve trade-related activities and to translate & adapt standards to regional requirements
Support the implementation of improvements and adjustments to trade-related activities
Act as point of contact in the Regional Trade Compliance team’s interaction with both the Global Trade Compliance team as well as the Regional Trade Compliance Ops team and / or with the local Direct Responsible Individuals (DRI’s)
We would love to hear from YOU, if you have :
Bachelor or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Transport & Distribution, Logistics, International Studies, Legal, Economics or Finance
Experience with, or strong interest in, the functional area of Customs or Trade Compliance, with 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience as a plus
Preferably experience and / or training in the following areas of competence : Union Customs Code (UCC), World Customs Organization, HTS code determination, Customs valuation principles, rules of origin, free trade agreements, incoterms, AEO
Customer oriented and a pro-active attitude
Good communication skills. Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and look for collaboration with people from different organizations
Process oriented mindset (process excellence) and able to manage complexity and change
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of MS Office applications
