A network architect has the overall responsibility for network designs and specifications to support business strategies using common tools.
As a network architect you will research new technologies and solutions, and ensure appropriate levels of assurance. You plan, direct and coordinate activities, engaging with other stakeholders to manage and implement a program.
You agree service level agreements (SLAs) and engage with third-party vendors.
You have an understanding of the following network technologies : LAN, WAN, wifi, data-centre LAN, SD networks, telephony, mobile solutions infrastructure, unified communications, network management solutions, network-specific security and remote access technologies and approaches.
As part of your role you coach and mentor associate network architects and network project managers where appropriate, while collaborating with engineers to make sure systems are practically designed.

Work for an IT organization that has been outsourced to 3rd party vendors to a large extent.
Located in Prague with daily interaction within a virtual organization spread across Western Europe, Russia, Ukraine and off-shore locations
Work in a quick changing environment, where processes are often changing

Manage network topology on all three layers
Deliver against and develop internal best practices according to ABI EU TechOps Organization strategy
You will be the focal point for EU Tech Ops Team with regards to Network and Voice solutions
You will design, review and solution network and voice scope for our full European Business operations
be a point of escalation and actively input into governance forums that determine IT strategy
cascade messages, standards and best practice from other architecture teams and design authorities to the network architecture team
act as a subject matter expert for Tech Ops
have an understanding of all network technology including : LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, data centre LAN, SD networks, telephony, mobile solutions infrastructure, unified comms, network management solutions, and network specific security and remote access technologies and approaches
champion new technologies and solutions
coach and mentor network project managers and IT operations staff
Who we’re looking for :
A strong track record in Network and Voice environments performing administration, design, planning and implementation
Experience with solutions such as Cisco, Arista, Mellanox, CLoudvision, NEO, Software Defined Networks in general, micro-segmentation + WAF ( VXlan available), Palo Alto, WLC’s, CUCM, MPLS, SDWAN, DWDM and others
Strong analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Qualifications and Technical competencies required
Governance and assurance. You should understand technical governance and be able to participate in or deliver the assurance of a service.
IT infrastructure (network architect). You know how to support, design and implement infrastructure technologies and solutions such as : computing, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and open source packages and solutions, and virtual and cloud computing, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
System integration (network architect). You understand and can design network services that integrate with existing or new services, including cloud services and infrastructure.
Systems design. You can create the specification and design of systems to meet defined business needs. You can work with business and technology stakeholders to translate business problems into technical designs.
You can visualise the ideal user service and come up with design ideas and possible design approaches. You feel comfortable exploring different approaches to solving problems.
Technical understanding (network architect). This specific knowledge underpins your ability to deliver the responsibilities and tasks for the role and enables you to apply the required breadth and depth of technical knowledge.
You actively stay abreast of industry developments to make cost-effective use of new and emerging tools and technologies.
Troubleshooting and problem resolution. You can think laterally in order to break a problem down into its component parts to identify and diagnose root causes, allowing problem resolution.
You can troubleshoot and identify problems across different technology capabilities including computing, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, COTS and open source packages and solutions, and virtual and cloud computing, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
