About the team :
This role sits within the Med Affairs (MA) function of the Czech Affiliate and is part of a small experienced team reporting to the local MA head
About This Job :
This position covers the delivery of MA tactics and activities for both Czech and Slovakia supporting the Oncology TA. It covers a broad range of internal and external responsibilities such as reviewing promotional / non promotional materials to visiting Consultants and preparing Core Medical Plan tactics for congresses and Symposia
Key Activities :
Provide strategic medical and scientific expertise in support of all affiliate Medical Affairs deliverables and cross-functional activities
Develop / maintain integrated partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure all MA affiliate activities address local needs and advance the medical / scientific understanding of Astellas products across their lifecycle
Engage with Key External Experts in Oncology working closely with key internal stakeholders, including the brand teams across the affiliate to achieve business objectives for the affiliate
Ensures all affiliate MA activities deliver value and are based on scientific validity, clinical importance and on time & budget
Conduct advisory boards as needed per the life cycle of the product to seek expert advice, opinions and feedback from advisors and other stakeholders on medical, humanistic, health economic or clinical topics
Oversee medical insights generation activities and ensure actionable insights are incorporated in strategic planning processes Core Medical Plans (CMP)
Identify the unmet needs and develop suitable medical strategy to incorporate in the CMP as well ensure a compliant execution of all Affiliate Medical / Scientific activities (including vendor oversight) i.
e. launch activities, educational programs, advisory / expert meetings, symposia in congresses
Implement the affiliate CMP tactics for the TA, on time and on budget as well as update CMP trackers on time
Essential Knowledge & Experience :
MD, PharmD or PhD / MSc
Solid experience in Pharma in a Med Affairs role
Foundational understanding of the drug development process as well as commercialization
Knowledge of the Oncology Therapy area preferred
Strong understanding and knowledge of local Czech market and industry laws and regulations
Experienced in managing complex projects independently (such as but not limited to AdBoards, Publications, Congresses)
Proactive strategic partnering with different internal functions
Excellent presentation skills; fully fluent in written and verbal business English
Able to travel up to 30% of the time including overnight stays
Solid communication skills, fully fluent in written & verbal English
Able to manage / develop strong stakeholder relationships
