The UNIX Technical Operations Expert role is responsible for the optimal delivery and operations of servers provided as service to internal customers.
The role acts as an owner of LINUX based server portfolio to ensure the servers are supportable, drives lifecycle activities with efficient planning to ensure optimal costs and quality of service.
Your Responsibilities :
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to :
Act as an owner of RHEL based server infrastructure
Be knowledgeable of risks with current server environment and plan for their mitigation
Drive the lifecycle activities to ensure supportability and prevent unnecessary high costs with extended supports
Define and drive release management of golden images to ensure latest internal standard version of RHEL is available for deployment and upgrade from previous versions
Work closely with key stakeholders such as Engineering, Application teams, and others to ensure efficient planning of lifecycle activities

What you’ll bring to the role :
University degree in computer science or comparable education / experience
More than 8 years of IT experience in Large Enterprises, preferably in regulated environments such as pharmacy, banking
Minimum 8 years’ experience in hands-on administration of LINUX based systems RHEL as minimum
Previous experience in planning and execution of lifecycle activities
Ability to lead discussions with customer, upper management and global team when required
Experience in LINUX administration, lifecycle (upgrade) projects
Experince with third party operations
Expierince in driving project like activities
Experience in working with global, virtual teams
