About the Job

As the Senior Compensation & Benefits for North America , you perform as a senior consultant with in-depth knowledge and experience in compensation and broad knowledge of benefits (plans, administration) for an assigned region.

Work with the Global Director, Total Reward & People Operations and other People Team members to assess employee needs and define / design fair, equitable and competitive total rewards programs that attract, retain and motivate high caliber employees.

This is a newly created full-time permanent role to support our North American market, including the US and Canada.

For this position you can work from our offices in New York, NY; Chicago, IL; Austin, TX; San Francisco, CA; or remote after onboarding with us.

Tasks and responsibilities :

  • Conducts specialized compensation and benefit research and analysis to assist People management in determining CH’'s total rewards competitive market strategy, aligned with overall CH business strategy.
  • Work with Global Director, Total Rewards & People Operations in development of organization-wide total rewards policies and practices
  • Meets with clients to analyze the work in the division / department, creating job descriptions, developing job families and advising on workforce planning.
  • Consult with People Partners and clients regarding the team’ s compensation objectives and competitive position in the marketplace, including market analysis and large-scale compensation initiatives.
  • Manage annual regional participation and data submission for salary and benefits plan surveys from validating job / survey matches to analyzing survey results, identifying CH position in the appropriate market.
  • Design, develop and conduct internal salary equity studies within the organization and implement aligned changes.
  • Review proposed salary actions to ensure conformance with guidelines and policies.
  • Advise People Partners, managers and supervisors on offers and compensation action plans for employees.
  • Work with Total Rewards(TR) team members to develop / update the annual compensation review process from recommendations to communications.
  • Manage administration of annual compensation review process in the region, providing support to planning managers.
  • About you

    An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the requirements listed.

    Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field10-5 years of demonstrated experience in compensation (base and variable comp) or related field.

    Experience in the development and / or administration of sales compensation and equity plans is a plus. 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in employee benefits or related field.

    Demonstrates an understanding of employment and labor laws and regulations related to compensation and job design.Demonstrates an understanding of the theories and principles of internal and external market analysis.

    Demonstrates an understanding of the broader business implications of decisions.Demonstrates an expert ability to consult with clients regarding workforce planning activities.

    May be responsible for identifying and resolving systemic issues related to workforce planning, job design or compensation analysis.

    Strong oral and written skills to prepare comprehensive and clear written documents, presentations and policies.Training and / or work experience guiding and consulting with individuals, managers and senior leaders.

    Strong analytical skills needed to review statistical results to make practical and meaningful recommendations.Excellent working knowledge of technology and proficiency in the use of spreadsheet, word, data management, and presentation applications.

    Excellent organization and time management skills to manage competing priorities.
