We are hiring a Tech Lead to join our DOTS (Digital Operation Technology Systems) Team in Brazil.
At DOTS, we are developing scalable solutions that make Gympassers more productive, assuring user-friendly, data-driven, and confident products, for efficient and measurable work of the business areas.
We divide DOTS PD internally in 5 Product Domains responsible for changing the company vision into a customer centric one using different approaches.
You will help us to hire, build and manage 2 of these 5 domains.
Have deep understanding about the company area systems and recognized as the technical reference for product, architecture and design reviews on anything related to these systems, establishing company wide best practices.
Lead critical projects, from the architectural design to implementation, capacity planning, automatic monitoring, launch and finally fine tuning
Proactively attack platform complexity avoiding its growth and working towards keeping everything as simple as possible
Create bridges with other teams and with key stakeholders in cross-functional areas to plan and successfully deliver projects with many engineers in more than a single team
Preemptively avoid the execution of all-in project, being able to break it down in smaller viable launches
Effectively plan and manage capacity, working closely to SREs whenever needed
Help establish a roadmap and long term vision in partnership with PMs and PDs, actively and effectively influence the product success
Communicate and clarify your team work (internally and externally to their Focus Area and even company-wide), providing visibility around the challenges and solutions created to solve problems.
In addition you're expected to perform management tasks such as mentoring, facilitating and conducting regular one-on-ones with the members of your team, making sure that they are constantly challenged, engaged, and improving their skills
WHO YOU ARE
You are not afraid of getting your hands dirty. You are a very technical professional with a passion for software and product development;
You must be seen as a technical reference by your team and should expect to actively take part in all the architectural decisions of the squad;
You will collaborate closely with other teams and stakeholders in order to evaluate feasibility of tasks, choose the best strategy on assigning and splitting user stories and prioritize engineering issues and technical debts;
You have a sharp strategic mindset, questioning the product manager about the scope and timing of features balancing the complexity and the cost of opportunity of deliveries;
You can also adapt your approach to the circumstances, be flexible, negotiate and reach agreements in order to best suit the product, user and team needs;
Likewise, you have to be able to break a large feature into smaller meaningful deliverables. This is part of the job;
You have experience in managing or technically leading a software engineering team;
You have experience with SQL technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL,
You have experience in working in a collaborative environment of teams of engineers, product managers and designers;
You have strong experience in Software Architecture and with System Integration;
You have experience with microservices and high volume distributed systems;
You have experience in Agile ecosystems;
You are passionate for new technologies and proven capability in analysis and problem-solving;
You have excellent teamwork, communication and project management skills;
You are able to articulate ideas clearly when speaking to groups in English;
You show empathy and respect in every sentence you speak;
