The Business

You will be a part of Willis Towers Watson’s newly-established Prague office. In addition to serving Czech clients, the office acts as the firm’s hub for Central and Eastern Europe.

We provide a wide range of consulting services and software solutions to insurance companies, including modelling, reserving, pricing, risk management, M&A, strategy, regulatory and management consulting.

The Role

As a Consultant, you will work beside some of the industry’s top consultants and insurance companies.

The primary focus of your work will be non-life (P&C) insurance including reserving, capital modelling and pricing; however, you should expect to participate in a wide range of projects across segments and services.

You will have immediate exposure to real client assignments, which will draw on your imagination and creativity as well as your ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and present results.

These experiences will help build your technical knowledge and overall industry expertise while you benefit from working for the leading insurance consulting firm.

You will be based in our Prague office. You should expect to work on projects internationally, both in CEE and with other WTW offices in Europe and worldwide.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows :

People

  • Build strong relationships internally and with client representatives
  • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients / colleagues at all levels
  • Support the development of junior colleagues

  • Partner with senior colleagues to provide support on client projects that help improve our clients’ performance in areas related to their financial, risk, product development and pricing and capital issues
  • Develop strategies to help our clients deal with change, including regulatory, social and economic
  • Ensure appropriate and effective communication among team members and the client
  • Excellence

  • Maintain and develop further professional expertise in the area of non-life (P&C) insurance, and act as a point of reference in the office on the subject.
  • Liaise with global non-life (P&C) reserving and pricing colleagues to stay abreast of current developments
  • Deliver projects that meet or exceed client expectation
  • Involvement in R&D to develop and enhance future sales propositions and internal firm knowledge to maintain our leading edge in the market
  • Financial

  • Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by assisting in the drafting of proposals, presentations and pitches
  • Meet billable hours targets
  • The Requirements

    Successful achievement of a Masters degree in one of the following subjects : Actuarial Science; Mathematics; Statistics; or similar

    Ideally you will be a member of the Czech Society of Actuaries or equivalent international body

    Work Experience of at 3-8 years

    Fluent in English and either Czech or Slovak

    Experience of working with WTW’s reserving software ResQ (or similar) and / or pricing software suite is an advantage but not essential

    Familiarity with the Czech insurance market
