Job Description
HR Generalist is responsible for supporting departments and divisions based in the Czech Republic in providing full spectrum of HR services, support and consulting in partnership with the global HR Business Partner and HR Platforms.
The goal of Human Resources (HR) in Thermo Fisher is to provide aligned, consistent programs and practices to our clients to support our global business enterprise.
The HR Generalist is responsible for assisting with the implementation and coordination of the work with other HR Business Partners and Managers in support of company strategies, goals and tactics.
Responsibilities :
Ensure alignment of HR processes with business / site strategic and operating goals
First point of contact for local and site managers
Support implementation of HR processes and programs that increase the productivity, competence, and effectiveness of the client group
Work with HR Business Partners and management to implement regional organizational structure, systems and processes that are in alignment with business objectives.
Communicate and implement corporate HR systems, programs and strategies, effectively and efficiently, including : Employee, management and team development and coachingAll aspects of employee relations, performance management and appraisalsProvide compensation guidance to managers, leveraging the compensation team as neededPartnership with Talent Acquisition team on staffingNew employee assimilation and integration
Participate as a global HR team member to create global consistency on HR practices and policies
Participate as a local HR team member to align with other HR local peers on HR practices and policies
Proactively gain client feedback to aid HR functions improve service levels and alert HR areas where an issue / project may impact on other areas
Drive, influence, advise and support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change, structures, people processes and business improvement initiatives within the business area in order to improve business efficiency and people management allowing for flexibility and planned growth
Requirements :
Must have University degree
Must have 3 - 5 years directly applicable HR experience
Must have prior experience partnering with global organizations in a fast paced and / or high-tech global environment;
experience with production organization is preferred
Demonstrated skills needed in developing strong business relationships with local managers; implementing, and overseeing the proactive administration of above Human Resources activities, programs and services;
and partnering across the HR organization
The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships within HR and the business
Experience of effective challenging and influencing at senior management level
Ability to manage own time and workload and juggle conflicting priorities
Demonstrate evidence of influencing and coaching skills
Change management experience
Experience working in a matrix organization
Exposure to process improvement efforts (i.e. six sigma, practical process improvement) a plus
Experience of advising on complicated Employee Relations issues and an up-to-date understanding of present and future employment legislation
Must be fluent in English and Czech (both verbal and written)
