Data Migration and Sales Order Management / Billing Specialist

Job Summary :

Alcon is currently running an SAP system deployment project in Alcon EMEA covering for different functions across all the EMEA countries.

The Data Migration and Sales Order Management / Billing Specialist position is part of the Order to Invoice (Customer Service) Stream and supports the functional business expert for Sales Order Management, Billing and Customer Master Data.

Project scope is deployment of IRIS Solution in EMEA, 18 Legal Entities, 22 countries and 1.6 billion Sales coverage.

Job Purpose :

The Data Migration and Sales Order Management / Billing Specialist position is responsible for tasks associated with Data Migration for Alcon’s SAP Sales Orders, Billing / Invoicing processes and OTI Master Data.

Gathering the required information from the countries and their legacy systems to load into Alcon’s SAP system using standardized processes and applications.

Highlights risks on Data Migration for Sales Orders, Billing and OTI Master Data to EMEA Management and strives for standardization of processes across the EMEA Region countries.

Works in collaboration and alignment with Global Core (OTI stream) & Country business partners to ensure delivery of the divisional requirements on these streams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensures standardization, adherence to compliance and best practice sharing in EMEA Region for Sales Order Management, Billing and EDI in IRIS project implementation.
  • Facilitates IRIS template adherence from the countries, the IRIS Core model approach

  • Supports Sales Order & Billing Expert for all business requirements within his / her area of expertise and highlights timely key risks and challenges encountered in the stream
  • Drives business acumen over the implementation of IRIS Customer interfaces for EMEA countries. Ensures global initiatives impacting EDI stream are appropriately addressed
  • Supports Local / Regional data owners to ensure data cleansing is performed properly
  • Accountable for coverage of agreed LSTRs and BERs by the IRIS developed solution
  • Accountable for knowledge transfer to Affiliate OTI’s business process champions for Idoc Management and Sales Order Managament related processes in SAP
  • Supports execution of local Testing, Training and Cutover activities for both streams
  • Within above scope of responsibility operate according to internal standards, external audit standards, regulatory standards and legal requirements

    Minimum requirements

    The ideal candidate will have :

    University degree in Finance / Accounting, or other business degree. English fluent, other languages a plus

  • 4+ years of experience with Customer Order Processing and Billing functionalities, Region or Country scope. Ability to understand end to end processes and drive process improvements within Order to Invoice
  • Experience in Project management and Process improvement initiatives within Alcon division. Involvement over cross-functional and multi-cultural projects
  • SAP / JDE ERP OTI functionality knowledge desired. Focus over Sales Order Management and Billing flows and modules. Good understanding of Customer Electronics Data Interfaces set-up and Management
