  • The Position

    A Product Life Cycle Manager (PLM) is responsible to drive profitable and sustainable products from Operations perspective for all markets through the complete life cycle of the product.

    Your challenge will be to partner with the BUs (mainly with Product Marketing Managers, Service management), R&D (mainly with Product Execution Managers, Project Leaders and System Architects) and Operations (all functions) to ensure that the right product priorities are set and product life cycle changes are made based on the holistic view of the product status, life cycle and roadmap.

    Scope is the complete portfolio of TEM products manufactured in Brno (Tecnai, Talos, Glacios, etc)

    Your responsibilities :

  • Manage the complete Product Life Cycle of the Brno TEM products with specific focus from product release through its end-of-service.
  • Gather product knowledge and perform holistic analysis of the producibility / serviceability / reliability / sustainability and profitability of the products during the entire product life cycle to determine and drive the right priorities for overall product related activity : insights and guidance based on facts.
  • Strategic long term focus : Perform half-yearly Product Review to determine the product needs, based upon which you contribute to product roadmap creation and provide input towards the company Strategic Plans.
  • Enjoy building relationships with all departments (BUs, R&D, Engineering, Service, etc) to adequately manage stakeholders and priorities.
  • Make a difference : Initiate, define and negotiate creative and innovative improvement projects within Operations, R&D, Service and Supply Chain.
  • Improvement projects may relate to customer satisfaction, manufacturability, serviceability, sustainability (obsolescence), value engineering, quality and reliability.

  • Initiate, define, negotiate and direct End of Production or End of Service projects within the product portfolio.
  • Provide direction for operations, service and product life-cycle relevant specifications and content for all R&D projects and monitor their execution from high level perspective.
  • If required, lead complex programs related to your portfolio.
  • The Requirements

    A talented and ambitious candidate with :

  • University degree in a technical discipline (Physics, Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Material Science, etc) or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.
  • Typically requires 5 to 10 years of experience working in a high-tech industry environment (in Product Management, Engineering, R&D or Technical Support).
  • Broad technical experience of high-tech analytical equipment, preferably electron microscopy equipment.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills : Data mining and analysis and decision making based on broad band of information and data.
  • Hands-on mentality : you love complex problems and strive to get things done.
  • Strategic thinking mindset and basic project management knowledge / experience.
  • Strong cross-site and cross-functional influencing, communication and negotiation skills. Fluent in English.
  • Electric regulation no.50 (or being qualified for this regulation - the company will provide the exam)
  • Ability to travel.
